Mouthpiece
After 15 months of development I am pleased to announce the release of my own 'Cornet Mouthpiece' which has been designed by Pickett Brass (makers of mouthpieces for Rex Richardson, Jens Lindemann, Wycliffe Gordon etc)

Updates
After a number of months of neglect I have finally got round to updating my website.
Mouthpiece
As previous reported I have been helping to develop a mouthpiece range with the American company Pickett Brass.
Coaching Days
On the 15th September I was one of a number of tutors from Foden's to tutor Lions Youth Band. Foden's have had a close working relationship with Lions for a number of years and carry out a number of coaching days with them throught out the year. The standard of the band is improving which has been highlighted in a number of recent contest results
Summer
Since finishing for the bands summer holidays in July I have been very busy with a number of engagements.
Nationals
Due to a lip injury I was unable to play with Foden's at the recent Nationals in London
Howard Snell cd
It has been a great pleasure to work with Howard Snell again this week in rehearsals as well as recording a cd of his material over the weekend.
Bolsover Summer School
Final touches are now being put to the Bolsover Summer School which will commence between Tuesday 23rd and Sunday 28th July being held at the Heritage High School in Clowne.
The course will be led by Mark Wilkinson and Glyn Williams who will also act as tutors along with fellow Foden's players Helen Williams (Flugels and Tenor Horns), John Barber (Trombones), Mark Landon (Percussion) and Stewart Baglin (Basses).
A unique feature of the course will be the inclusion of a separate Junior training day led by Foden's Mark Bousie on Thursday 25th July and a Brass for Beginners Day for 4 to 9 year olds on Friday 26th July 2013.
As well as full rehearsals there will be sectional rehearsals, one to one tuition, master classes, tutors concert, delegates concert, classes in performance / improvisation / conducting as well as a talk from the featured composer Paul Sharman who has been commissioned to compose a work especially for the course entitled “Inclusion”.
The course will include two outdoor concerts at tourist attractions Hardwick Hall and Creswell Crags and conclude with a concert at Heritage High School on Sunday 28th July 2013 commencing at 6.45pm featuring soloists Mark Wilkinson, Glyn Williams and Helen Williams. Admission is £3 concessions £2 and can be paid on the door
Mark Wilkinson commented 'All the tutors are looking forward to the summer school and to build on last years enjoyable course. When putting together the schedule for the week we have looked at music that will challenge players of all levels and ages as well as introducing various classes and trips to make the course both musical and sociably rewarding. The rehearsal facilities, hotel accommodation and tutors are all first class which should result in a great week of enjoyment '
